What is cloud computing

Cloud computing, is a style of computing, which provide dynamically extensible and often virtualized computing resources as a service via network connections. With it we can avoid high initial costs associated with hardware, software and providing services, becouse we pay only for what is actually used. In addition, cloud computing also enables better utilization of servers, shares infrastructure, reduces maintenance and management costs and, ultimately, provides instant access to a wide range of applications.

Most of the existing cloud infrastructure represent reliable services offered by data centers which are based on servers with different levels of virtualization technologies. This services can be accessed from everywhere, it only needs the appropriate network infrastructure. Clouds can be thought of as a single access point to all information systems of a user.
